Dressing for the office in this Georgia heat, while still maintaining a professional look in corporate America can present quite the challenge. For most of the year I tend to stick to more neutral colors, but summer and casual Fridays are a good excuse to expand my color scheme and play with different prints and textures. I am loving all the lightweight and versatile pieces I’ve been seeing! With my straight out of college budget I’m definitely putting an emphasis on finding pieces that can be styled for both the office and dressed down for a casual date night or drinks out with friends. Below are a few of my favorite finds for work appropriate items to elevate your office style this summer!
Linen & Colorful Blazers
Summer blazers seriously make me so happy. For most of the year they tend to be dull and give off stuffy office vibes (ok, not all the time), but when summer comes around, they transition into a colorful statement piece or a casual dressed down alternative. The linen fabric is definitely my favorite and also looks great with a plain tee and jeans for weekend errands. For the office, I tend to pair mine with a simple shift dress and heels.
Summer Office Dresses
Ok who doesn’t love throwing on one article of clothing and being dressed for the day in a few seconds? I lean towards dresses for most of the year because of this, and this season there are some beautiful prints and styles that I’m loving. Dresses are also a great transition piece when going from the office to a date night with just a quick change of shoes. As you can see, I’m a bit obsessed with shirt dresses. Can’t get enough of them!
There are so many great options this season! I’m especially loving the sculptured and front bowtie heels. They add such a nice detail to an otherwise simple style. I’ve been looking for white heels to invest in this summer and I think I need to pull the trigger on these. They’d pair well with a casual dress out of the office as well.
